Visitor Engagement Assistant

Job Introduction

We are looking for a visitor engagement assistant to enhance the visitor experience at Cannock Chase, located at Marquis Drive. You will be dealing with visitor enquiries, offering advice and guidance in a professional and courteous manner You will also be responsible for a small selection of items for sale and for administering the hiring of disability scooters. Weekend and Bank Holiday is an essential part of the role and you will work the weekend andl Bank Holidays.    

What you’ll bring

You will bring enthusiasm, knowledge and an understanding of the site, to deliver an excellent front of house experience for our visitors. You will be an excellent communicator with a friendly approachable nature who will proactively engage with visitors. You should also be flexible in your approach to working hours and be able to cover some additional hours due to colleague absence You should also be willing to be part of a wider team and carry out other duties commensurable to your grade.

Main Responsibility

Actively engage with visitors to Cannock Chase

Help develop visitor offer within visitor centre

Promote conservation work on site

Assist in the running of small-scale events

Maintain visitor centre and immediate surroundings in a safe condition and litter and hazard free

Selling information leaflets/books/maps and small gift items associated with a country park.

Relay messages to ranger service and other site partners

Answer telephone queries
