Main Responsibility
Volunteering activities are many and varied and can include:
- Environment and conservation activities.
- Keeping the parks clean and well maintained.
- Helping at the parks Visitor Centres.
- Assisting the Historic Environment Team.
- Being part of the National Landscape (AONB) Team.

The Ideal Candidate
No particular skills are needed. We only ask for enthusiasm and a reasonable level of physical fitness for roles which involve outdoor work. Some role will may be in remote areas and at times, access to toilet and washing facilities could be limited. We do ask that volunteers on the Country Parks are aged 18 and over.
You will need to:
- Have a friendly and positive attitude with good communication skills.
- Be able to follow instruction.
- Have a love for the countryside.
- Attend SCC volunteer training and any other relevant courses.
- Agree to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
- Be keen to be outdoors in a range of weather conditions and walking over a range of terrains (role dependant).
- Be able to represent Staffordshire County Council in a positive and unbiased manner.
