Job Introduction

Staffordshire Business & Environment Network (SBEN) was launched in 1992, providing a membership organisation, entitling members to subsidised and free initiatives from within the SBEN portfolio.

We support organisations to achieve long term sustainability and maximise their business opportunities through innovative environmental activity.

Main Responsibility

You’ll play a key part in supporting in the day-to-day management, co-ordination and delivery of  Environmental Support to local businesses across Staffordshire including:

  • Providing advice, guidance and coaching to environmental project applicants and clients.
  • Assist in checking submitted project applications in terms of eligibility, relevance, and strategic fit.
  • Recording and monitoring the progress and performance of project applicants and supported projects, ensuring a robust audit trail.
  • Assist in the collation and analysis of statistical information for the evaluation of associated projects/partner activity

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll ideally have an NVQ level 3 in Business Admin or equivalent adminstration experience together with:

  • Some knowledge and/or understanding of environmental markets and opportunities
  • Excellent ICT skills especially in the use of software packages of MS Office including the use of spreadsheets
  • Proven communication skills and ability to deliver an excellent level of customer service
