Staffordshire Business & Environment Network (sben) was launched in 1992, providing a membership organisation, entitling members to subsidised and free initiatives from within the sben portfolio.
The network helps raise business awareness through seminars and enhance skills and knowledge through environmental training and counselling. It also provides practical advice on developing and implementing environmental policies as well as promoting examples of good environmental practice.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the team to support our Staffordshire Business and Enterprise Network (sben) and small local businesses. If you have an enthusiastic attitude, excellent written skills, great customer service skills and can deliver exceptional dedicated support, you could be a perfect addition to our team.
Main Responsibility
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting delivery of the sben program, assisting business with new membership applications and resignations, and production of bi-monthly membership reports
- The first point of contact with representatives of local businesses developing positive working relationships
- Supporting in organising and delivering events including registrations and collating/providing feedback
- Finance administration including raising purchase orders and invoices
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll ideally have an NVQ level 2 or equivalent administrative experience together with:
- the ability to liaise and communicate in person and/or in writing
- good attention to detail and producing work to a high standard
- excellent ICT skills especially in the use of software packages of MS Office including the use of spreadsheets as well as management information databases.
