Job Introduction
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable person to help at Waterside Court in Burton upon Trent. Our Enterprise Centres are part of our work to support Staffordshire’s economy, helping small businesses thrive.
In this role, you’ll support the smooth running of the centre, working closely with nearly 400 businesses across 8 locations. You’ll handle a variety of tasks, such as organizing paperwork, helping with customer queries, and ensuring everything is well-organized. You’ll work from Waterside Court but will cover other centres when needed, although this would be rare.
We’re looking for someone can work on their own but also as part of a team. You should be friendly, good at helping others, and have skills in admin and customer service.
Main Responsibility
In this role you'll be completing a number of different tasks keeping this role varied and interesting, such as:
Reception and Admin Work: Be the main person at the reception desk, helping run Waterside Court. Communication and ensuring tenants are looked after.
Helping Tenants and Units: Show empty units to people, keep records updated, and track who’s moving in or out.
Paperwork and Rules: Make sure everything follows the rules and keep important records up to date. Work with Health and Safety, Finance and our legal teams to sort agreements.
Money Matters: Send invoices to tenants, check energy usage, and manage payments and orders when needed.
Health and Safety (H&S): 50% of your work is H&S, testing fire alarms, check the buildings are safe, liaise with contractors and report any issues.
Organizing Events: Use of Booking system for meeting rooms and desks for tenants or other businesses.
Supporting Tenants: Be the first person tenants talk to for help, answering questions, fixing problems, and supporting them.
Cover Duties: Help other centres if needed when the Enterprise Centre Manager is away, although this is rare.
The Ideal Candidate
For this role you'll need to have:
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Business Administration or an equivalent experience. Health and Safety training/knowledge would be advantageous
- Good ICT, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Confident in using financial information and be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with customers.
