A key administrative opportunity have arisen within ASC Core Support and Improvement supporting the SWLA
Our ASC Core Support and Improvement Business Support services are crucial to the success of our Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Services. Our Business Support teams ensure smooth operations, enabling our frontline colleagues to deliver essential services in the community. This vital work requires dedicated colleagues who take pride in their roles and see the purpose in their contributions.
The primary aim of this role is to support the Social Work Learning Academy (SWLA) and our Adult Social Care operational teams across various services, including Strategic Management, Safeguarding, First Contact, and Learning Disabilities. You will work with partner organisations, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and Staffordshire County Council (SCC), to deliver the One Staffordshire vision and support the workforce strategy for Adult Social Care and Safeguarding.
Flexibility is essential, as this role involves supporting both operational and central teams to achieve the SWLA’s business objectives and daily operations.
Main Responsibility
You will focus on providing a range of core administrative support to staff, and you will be the first point of contact for enquiries. You will use departmental databases and systems, as well as the full range of Microsoft packages, as part of your daily administrative work.
The main duties will include:

Maintaining, monitoring, and updating ICT systems, including the input and retrieval of data

Producing high-level, accurate documents

Performing varied administrative and customer care duties
The Ideal Candidate
Working in Business Support requires teamwork, good organisational skills, and a high level of competency using IT systems.
You’ll also need:

Good communication skills, as you’ll interact with many people across the organisation and externally through phone, in person, and email

A flexible approach to work, as sometimes things can change, and you’ll need to be able to prioritise work and change tasks quickly

The role will be part of the Business Support Service, so there may be a requirement to work from other offices when required. However, we adopt a hybrid working approach.
