Become a Waste Volunteer

We are looking for the help of volunteers to spread the message and encourage local communities to waste less. 

So, if you have an interest in sustainable waste management and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, this may be a good volunteering opportunity for you. 

Main Responsibility

As a volunteer you'll be invited to learn more about waste and recycling at our training events. This will include how to reduce food waste, composting and recycling tips. 

You'll then be encouraged to use this knowledge to pass on to other Staffordshire residents through talks, demonstrations and written articles or social media.

The Ideal Candidate

All training will be provided but to be considered for this volunteering role you will have the following:

  • A passion and interest in recycling, re-use and climate change
  • Be at least 18 years or older 
  • Are seeking to develop your confidence, communication or social skills 
  • Would like to demonstrate your skills and abilities to future employers, universities, or colleges 
  • Are passionate about waste reduction and climate change
  • Are interested in supporting your local community 
  • Would like to gain volunteering or work experience
