Technical Support Officer - Sustainable Development

Job Introduction

Are you interested in this full time Technical Officer role we currently have? 

We are looking to recruit a Technical Support Officer to work on the client side helping to deliver the Council’s strategic outcomes.

Our aim is to improve transport infrastructure across the County, developing and delivering new highway infrastructure to time and budget, to include delivery of all developer-funded schemes, and support to the economic regeneration capital programme through the Infrastructure Partnership we have with Amey our term service provider.

Main Responsibility

We are a busy service, dealing with varied Highway applications (including planning applications), highway improvement schemes and flood risk management projects.

You will work in the Technical Support Team, providing a variety of admin and technical support to the Development Management Team, Client Contract Management Team, Road Adoptions Team, our Flood Risk Management Team and our customers.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • Ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Experience in participating in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience of Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Confidence to work with people at all levels.
