Main Responsibility
The Care Systems Analyst role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a motivated and lively established team who provide business advice and guidance and technical support of the CareDirector system and other Social Care systems supporting staff who deliver Social Care services to vulnerable people in Staffordshire.
The role is primarily responsible for assisting in the operational management of systems that provide support to managers and their teams across adults and children’s services delivered within Staffordshire County Council and partner agencies.
More specifically you will co-ordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of an established help desk function, ensuring that staff from front line services are supported to deliver the core activities of Social Care. You will be required to ensure current practice is relevant and appropriate.
The collaborative nature of the work requires excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter with a drive to succeed and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. The broad scope of the role requires a results-focused approach, supported by well-developed analytical skills and creative thinking. Social Care experience or knowledge would be an advantage but not essential to the role.

What you’ll bring:
- Customer service focus with a commitment to understanding system user perspective and a desire to provide the best experience for staff members contacting the help desk
- Ability to analyse and challenge current help desk practice where appropriate along with creative thinking to improve our service offering
- Confidence when liaising with suppliers and partner agencies to ensure service problems are resolved effectively and efficiently or appropriately escalated
- Adaptability to deliver support to users of IT systems specific to their individual requirements and demands in a creative manner
- Proven track record of leading and motivating colleagues
