Support Worker

Job Introduction

Hawthorn house a residential for adults with learning disabilities, currently has a vacancy for a 28hr Support Facilitator post. 

Candidates are required to have a positive proactive approach and a desire to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. 

Candidates need to be available to cover morning and afternoon shifts, plus weekends and bank holiday. For this they receive an increment of 10.6%.

Main Responsibility

Included in the responsibilities of the role are;

  • Maintaining dignity and supporting with intimate/personal care
  • Following dietary care plans and supporting individuals with eating and drinking
  • Supporting with manual handling of people
  • Supporting with positive behavioural support and  safety intervention 
  • Supporting individuals in the community
  • Supporting individuals to be actively involved in their care
  • Providing and facilitating activities for the individuals requiring support
