Job Introduction
A full time permanent position has become available for a social work post in Lichfield Children in Care & Care Leavers Team.
Main Responsibility
- All Statutory duties for Children who are Looked After
- Maintaining accurate and up date records
- Planning for all task associated with a social work role including;
- developing and maintaining relationships with Children in Care, their families, foster carers, schools and all involved professionals.
- As a social worker for children in care you’ll be looking after and supporting those children who have for one reason, or another been taken into care. So, you'll be completing children's plans, attending reviews, you could be attending court, making visits to children, and completing PEPs.

More generally, overall, our social workers need to be a:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Registered with Social Work England
- Have a current UK driving licence and vehicle
But above all, you will bring the desire to work with children and families to give them the right support, at the right time with the aim of keeping families together where it is safe to do so.
