Job Introduction

We work across adult social care services. Our main priority is to help operational and senior managers to make best use of our intelligence from data, quality of practice audits, feedback and consultation so that we can identify good practice and areas of improvement that make a real difference to the people we support.
We're also supporting our local preparations future CQC inspections and wider support for our new case management system.
This is a fixed term contact to 30 August 2026.
Main Responsibility
As a Service Improvement Officer, you’ll work on a variety of projects that drive quality and performance across adult social care. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Turning insight into action by analysing survey results, audits, and feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting continuous learning by helping teams use performance data and quality findings to enhance practice.
- Developing practical guidance that supports frontline staff and managers in delivering high-quality care.
- Analysing customer feedback including compliments and complaints to understand experiences and inform service improvements.
- Coordinating and reviewing quality audits, ensuring findings lead to meaningful change.
- Engaging with people who use our services through consultation to ensure their voices shape our approach.
- Contributing to CQC assurance preparations

We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and passionate about improving services. You don’t need to tick every box—if you have the right mindset and transferable skills, we’d love to hear from you.
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills – you ask the right questions and dig deeper to understand what’s working and what needs to change.
- Strong analytical ability – you can interpret data and feedback from multiple sources (quantitative and qualitative) and turn it into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills – you can present findings in a way that influences decisions and builds understanding.
- Relationship-building skills – you work collaboratively with colleagues across the County Council, partner organisations, and people who use our services.
