Staffordshire Registration Services is seeking, dedicated and experienced individuals to be responsible for the efficient operation of registration functions, managing a team of registration officers and contributing to the strategic development of our services.
You will play a key role in delivering high quality services for the registration of marriages, civil partnerships, citizenships, birth and death registrations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.

Main Responsibility
Some of your main responsibilities will include to,
- Manage the Registration Officer team to provide registration services and ceremonies, making operational decisions and developing new processes and procedures.
- Assist the Ceremony Team Leader with marketing, communications and development strategies.
- Maintain effective relationships with licensed venues, Celebrants, other local authorities and professional organizations.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and County Council governance.
- Participate in the development and delivery of training within the team.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for you to be an excellent communicator and able to prioritise a varied workload. Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail will also be important.
You must be committed to delivering excellent customer service and communicate effectively amongst the team(s), stakeholders, regional and national local authorities.
We also need you to be able to:
- Have proven experience in people management, including coaching, training and development of staff.
- Able to manage a complex workloads and respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
- Proven ability to work to a high degree of accuracy, both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience of using a range of ICT applications and digital platforms
