Our Staffordshire Jobs and Careers Brokerage Service are looking for 2 Senior Employment Brokers to help develop and deliver our services, as well as implement specialist projects across Staffordshire.

As a Senior Employment Broker, you will:

  • Support Residents: Provide advice and guidance to residents with specialist and complex needs, ensuring a comprehensive end-to-end recruitment and in-work support service.
  • Assist Businesses: Match job seekers to business requirements, supporting their recruitment needs.
  • Lead a Team: Manage a team of Employment Brokers, ensuring they proactively support residents and businesses with a range of opportunities.

These roles are fixed term for 2 years.

Main Responsibility

You will:

  • Develop and deliver new employability projects, policies, and procedures.
  • Line manage a team of Employment Brokers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Manage a caseload of job seekers with specialist and complex needs, helping them achieve sustainable employment.
  • Establish relationships with employers to support their recruitment needs and encourage them to consider candidates with complex needs.
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs to ensure team objectives are met.
  • Promote SJC and its programmes through internal and external relationships and develop a communications strategy.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • Experience of providing excellent customer service to job seekers, especially those facing barriers to employment, with empathy and an understanding of various job seeker cohorts.
  • An understanding of how to support candidates with additional needs into sustainable employment and how to encourage businesses to support these candidates.
  • Employer engagement experience.
  • Experience in developing and delivering new services and projects within employability.
  • Experience working with external partners, organisations, and providers supporting employability programmes, including government incentives.
  • Line management and training experience, with a track record of setting and achieving targets and objectives.
  • Customer-focused, with strong communication skills to engage effectively with employers, partners, and colleagues.
