SEND Tribunal Caseworker

Job Introduction

We have an opportunity to join a well established, highly regarded Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Central Team in Staffordshire. Our primary goal is to seek solutions to SEND mediations and appeals. 

Main Responsibility

You will:

  • be part of the team and support the preparation efforts to ensure that where possible we can resolve situations where views differ.  
  • provide support to the Principal Officer (Conflict Resolutions and Tribunals).
  • you will collate the required information in preparation for resolving disagreements and/or in preparation for mediation.
  • organise meetings associated with the tribunal hearing process within the legal timescales respond to correspondence and enquiries regarding to individual case work.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll have:

  • knowledge of the tribunal system and information that tribunals require.
  • be able to develop and sustain effective working relationships with staff in other agencies
  • good organisational skills, including managing time, prioritising work and meeting deadlines
  • the ability to problem solve and identify opportunities for improvement
  • the ability to resolve conflict or tensions

You will have good supervision and support in a great working environment. We offer excellent ICT support and good opportunities for flexible working.
