Job Introduction
This role is key to the County Council meeting its legal responsibility to maintain the safety of its local road network through the analysis of road traffic collisions and the targeting of engineering, education and enforcement resources to achieve the greatest accident reduction potential.
Main Responsibility
Overseeing the analysis of collision data and the development of a range of targeted road safety schemes and activities.
Delivering road safety initiatives commissioned through the Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership.
Effective engagement and collaboration with external stakeholders including community representatives.
Team leadership, budget management and contract compliance.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have significant experience in the road safety field and be able to lead a team of professionals to deliver a wide programme of road safety initiatives; to manage effective relationships with a range of partners; and to monitor and report progress of commissioned activities.
