We are looking for a Residential Worker to join our new team

About The Firs

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in a  Children’s Home provision in Stafford. The Firs is a small residential home which will provide medium to long term residential support for up to 3 young people aged 11 – 18 years old. It will be a family centred environment that supports, nurtures and cares for young people giving them opportunities to learn, progress and explore new activities and ventures.

Shifts are 07.30-22.30 on a 'one on, two off' basis.

 

Main Responsibility

We need a committed, vibrant, and highly motivated Residential Worker to support young people in all areas of their lives. The role can be both challenging and rewarding and will require a high level of resilience and flexibility to be able to respond to the needs of the service.

You'll be involving the young people in daily activities, getting to know them as individuals so you can best support their needs and really creating an environment where our young people can flourish and achieve their potential.

The Ideal Candidate

To this role you'll bring:

  • Experience in working with children and young people and even better if this is in a residential setting already.
  • An NVQ/QCF level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People is desirable but not essential.
  • A full driving licence.
