Looking for a meaningful role where your economic development policy expertise can make a real impact? The Midlands Engine Partnership is seeking a dynamic and strategic Policy and Partnership Manager to work in concert with our partners on policy development and mobilisation; playing a pivotal role in realising the ambitions in our Business Plan 2023-2026.

The Midlands, with its diverse population of almost 11 million people, boasts an economy generating £240 billion for the UK. Despite its strengths, the region faces challenges in maximising growth opportunities and addressing socio-economic issues.

The Midlands Engine Partnership, established in 2017, is the driving force behind collaborative efforts to fuel growth and development, bringing together public, private, and academic sectors.

Main Responsibility

As our Policy and Partnership Manager, you will:

• Advocate for growth-centric policies in collaboration with government, public, and private sector stakeholders

• Convene diverse organisations to foster cross-sector collaboration and innovation

• Lead the development and execution of a robust policy and research program, working closely with the Midlands Engine Observatory, to inform strategic decision-making and investment strategies

• Take charge of policy matters within our Business Plan priorities and contribute to future policy direction

• Engage with regional research initiatives, ensuring evidence-based decision-making

• Cultivate relationships, represent us in various forums, and provide leadership to our Policy and Partnerships Team
