Job Introduction

Do you want to make a difference for children and families? We have a great oppertunity for a Placement Finder to join our supportive team finding homes for children in fostering, residential, supported lodgings and in supported accommodation. 

 

Main Responsibility

Working in a busy but rewarding small team where all placements are found for our Children in Care both planned and crisis led. The role involves information gathering, matching, identifying shortfalls and putting support systems in place, whilst keeping accurate and detailed recordings. 

You will need to regularly speak to carers, providers, social care teams, and other professionals whilst striving to find the right home for a child at the right time. 

The Office hours are: Monday- Thursday 8:30am -5pm, Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm - 37 hours per week. 

This is a hybrid role with an option to work both remotely and from our office location in Stafford, with a minimum office presence of at least one day per week to be discussed with the successful candidate. 

The Ideal Candidate

You'll need to have:

  • The initiative to work independently
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent recording skills

But above all else you'll have a passion for your working, knowing that you're helping achieve positive outcomes for children and families across Staffordshire.
