Care Market Development Officer

The Care Market Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing facilitating, and delivering support to adult social care providers. This includes the identification of workforce development and training opportunities, with partners, to deliver these opportunities in the most efficient way.

Writing bids to secure funding and then implementing the programme outlined in the bid.

Working with care providers and partners, working to promote a career in the social care sector and support care providers to maximise their staff recruitment and retention.

Delivering engagement events for the care sector on both a small and large scale. Promoting information and guidance from recognised partners.

Main Responsibility

This is fixed term opportunity until end of March 2025 to primarily support the Digital Social Care Record project. This is an integrated project with the NHS and care providers. The project will disburse funds and support care providers to implement an electronic care record system. Your role will be to lead and co-ordinate the project, liaise with partners, implement effective monitoring systems and evaluation. 

This role will also support the wider team agenda as required. This includes recruitment and retention, workforce development and information, advice and guidance for the adult social care sector. 

The Ideal Candidate

This job requires a person with a process driven mindset and the ability to take innovative approaches. They will have good ICT skills and the ability to adapt to change. Bringing knowledge of the adult social care workforce is desirable, however strong communication and networking skills are essential.
