Job Introduction

The Treasury & Pension Fund Department is lead commissioner for the Pension Fund and provides the County Council and local partner organisations with a risk managed treasury management service. This service includes operational tasks performed on a regular basis and focused treasury plans influencing the service direction.

Main Responsibility

Working in the Treasury & Pension Fund Department, you will support the Senior Investment Accountant in delivering the day-to-day management of County Council and partner organisation, investment and borrowing decisions and assist in the management of the Pension Fund’s investments.

 

The Ideal Candidate

You will be highly self-motivated and have experience of working in a busy and ambitious financial environment. You'll also:

  • Have experience of using a large financial system.
  • be highly numerate, accurate and logical
  • have excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be required to liaise with a wide range of people, both inside and outside the organisation, including banks, advisers and brokers.
  • have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
