Information Governance Officer

Job Introduction

An opportunity has arisen to join the Information Governance Team at Staffordshire County Council at an exciting time of information management. With the emergence of AI technology, the Data (Use & Access) Bill and Local Government Reform, the team will be instrumental in supporting the Council in these developments. The role has a competitive salary and offers flexible and hybrid working.

 

Main Responsibility

It is a varied role which involves supporting all service areas within the organisation, providing guidance, support and advice regarding data protection, information management and cyber security.

 It will require an organised and enthusiastic individual who is confident in providing expert advice and policy development.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to be motivated, have experience in information governance and records management, and play an integral part in the implementation of our Information Management Strategy and be involved in our programme of work migrating to M365.  

The application closing date is 13th April 2025 and shortlisting is due to take place on 14th April. In person interviews are expected to take place on 28th and 29th April 2025.
