ICT Infrastructure Officer

Job Introduction

Staffordshire County Council is in search of a highly proficient and self-motivated Infrastructure Officer to join our dynamic IT team, playing a crucial role in the continued transformation of our IT operations.

We are embarking on an exciting project to migrate to Azure Cloud making expertise in this area exceptionally advantageous. Main Responsibility

In this role, you will primarily be

  • responsible for providing support for our hyper-converged and azure infrastructure, focusing on server administration primarily within the Microsoft technology stack, managing a diverse array of business applications, and migration to cloud
  • supporting a sizable user base utilizing core Microsoft Office M365 applications across multiple sites throughout the County
  • collaborating with other operational teams to deliver both proactive and reactive ICT support.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to have, 

  • skills and proficiency in supporting a virtualised compute platform, with a preference for those experienced in Hyper-V and Azure
  • desirable qualifications that encompass Microsoft Server administration certifications like MCSA and MCSE
  • successfully completed the Azure fundamentals courses AZ-900 & SC-900 and either be in the process of studying for or have completed other relevant Azure courses such as AZ-800, AZ-400, SC-200
  • experience within an operational IT team and supporting a substantial user base

We also need you to be a team player, exhibit a positive can-do attitude, and possess excellent customer skills.
