Family Hub Manager

Job Introduction

  • 1 Full time: South Staffs
  • 1 Full time: Cannock. 
  • 18.5 Hours: East Staffs, based in Burton. 

Staffordshire is developing a Family Hub Model delivering services support families with children 0-19 (25 with SEND), which we will operationalise 1 May 2023.  

We are recruiting Family Hub Managers in each borough of Staffordshire to, lead on and operationalise this Family Hub Model and the Early Help Strategy.  

They will be key to bringing together early help and intervention delivered by a variety of people including, children, young people and their families, Children’s Centres, Early Years settings and Schools, Health, Housing, Police, Fire and Rescue, District and Borough Councils and local voluntary and community service providers.

Main Responsibility

You will be required:

  • To manage, support and supervise a staff team ensuring the services they deliver are of good quality have identifiable outcomes and contribute to the performance indicators identified for Family Hubs.
  • To be a passionate advocate for service users’ participation and involvement
  • identify gaps and shortfalls in local provision 
  • To be innovative and enterprising
  • To coordinate and manage FIBs
  • To lead the development of a partnerships
  • To provide support, leadership and challenge to partners

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • Relevant qualifications or substantial experience of working with children, young people and families and managing teams.
  • An awareness of the Family Hub Model and the Early Help Strategy.  
  • The ability to lead a multidisciplinary team in order to achieve service objectives
  • An understanding of the needs and characteristics of children, young people and their families and of local communities.
  • The ability to identify and respond appropriately to the needs of children, young people and families, managing delivery, planning, co-coordinating, and organising targeted activities to meet their identified needs of Children and Families locally. 
  • The ability to relate to, encourage and motivate staff, partners children, young people and families to form positive relationships.
  • The ability to work in partnership with families, partners and local communities in order to support sustainable change.
