Family Hub Coach

Job Introduction

Are you interested in working within our Family Hub team to support parents in improving their understanding of their parenting role? 

Family Hubs are a local support centre for families with children and young people aged 0-19 years, (25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) needs). 

They are a place:

  • to get help, information, advice, guidance and support to overcome difficulties and build stronger relationships. 
  • that provides a multiagency offer that can be accessed face to face or virtually.    

Main Responsibility

As a Family Hub Coach, providing adult and family learning, you will: 

  • engage with families to complete direct work with children and young people and their families to promote healthy lifestyles, positive peer/ family relationships and safe parenting to develop a good understanding of their culture/ community identity.
  • deliver evidence based groupwork.
  • signpost to and support children and young people to engage with appropriate agencies and activities to promote their life chances and outcomes.
  • develop and maintain effective working relationships with other locality providers.
  • record and maintain data to inform district and countywide reports.

The Ideal Candidate

Along with a passion for working with children and families, you will have:

  • experience in delivering training and informative messages through fun and engaging pedagogy.
  • understanding of how to appropriately signpost or intervene
  • an ability to work on  your own initiative and as part of a team
  • an ability to work effectively in situations of conflict and resolve difficulties
