Staffordshire County Council has been awarded LEVI (Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) funding from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles. As one of 13 local authorities, together with regional transport body Midlands Connect, we successfully bid for a total of £39.3 million from the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure scheme.
We now have this exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of Electric Vehicles and charging infrastructure in Staffordshire, making a positive impact on sustainable transportation and the local environment.
Main Responsibility
You will manage the LEVI (Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) project and support other Electric Vehicle-related initiatives. Working closely with a range of partners, including internal stakeholder groups, Sub-National Transport Bodies, District and Borough Officers and Members, to develop effective relationships is critical to the success of the project.
Our key outcomes of the LEVI project are:
- An increase in the number of publicly available Electric Vehicle Chargepoints.
- An increase in the number of Electric Vehicles in Staffordshire.
- Raise the profile of Electric Vehicles, and support residents and visitors of Staffordshire with up-to-date information of Electric Vehicles and Electric Vehicle infrastructure.
- Support businesses to access grants to facilitate installation of charging points.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll need to be enthusiastic and motivated with the following skills and experience:
- Effective Communicator: who can promote the benefits of Electric Vehicles and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure to diverse audiences.
- Project Management Skills: with the ability to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Negotiation Skills: to negotiate with various project partners to secure agreements and buy-in.
- Resilience and Adaptability: adapting to changing circumstances as Electric Vehicle technology and innovation continue to evolve rapidly.
- Passion for Sustainability: encouraging and promoting sustainable travel.
- Face-to-Face Engagement: Willingness to engage with diverse audiences in various settings, from businesses to community engagement, and support teams in raising the profile of Electric Vehicles.
