Job Introduction
To help facilitate the increased use of electric vehicles whilst helping the authority to become carbon neutral by 2050, an exciting opportunity to manage the implementation of the authority’s Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Strategy has become available.
This role will be key for developing and expanding the electric vehicle charging network across Staffordshire. A key duty will be to identify innovative charging solutions through working with a range of internal and external stakeholders including internal colleagues; elected Members; Parish, District and Borough Councils; and electric vehicle suppliers and businesses.
You will be required to provide technical expertise and advice in response to enquiries and requests.
Main Responsibility
The role requires the ability to continually identify opportunities for new external grant funding and to submit bids which support innovation and solutions to the challenges faced.
Being able to adapt to the changing requirements of the role is a prerequisite in order to satisfy the demands of the rapidly changing and growing electric vehicle and electric vehicle charging infrastructure landscape.
The Ideal Candidate
With significant knowledge of electric vehicle technology and supporting infrastructure requirements, you will have the skills and knowledge to lead and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
You will have the ability to think logically and effectively communicate rational decisions based on evidence to a wide audience, including key stakeholders and elected Members.
