District Site Supervisor

Job Introduction

We have a vacancy for a District Site Supervisor, based at Newcastle Children's Centre

 

Main Responsibility

You will be responsible for:

  • Security - unlocking and securing premises at agreed times
  • undertaking daily, weekly and monthly building health and safety checks, completing relevant records as required.
  • Replacing consumables for the buildings, ensuring there is adequate stock levels.
  • Ensuring the premises are safe, tidy and a satisfactory condition prior to use
  • Maintaining and implementing a centre maintenance programme to ensure all areas are fit for purpose and to a high standard of repair
  • Checking cleaning standards are maintained, raising issues with the Manager

The Ideal Candidate

You will have skills in carrying out repairs, be able to work alone as well as a member of a team.  Ideally hold craft related qualifications, and be able to demonstrate previous relevant experience

You will have knowledge and experience in security awareness and the need to safeguard young children and adults using the buildings, as well as knowledge/experience in cleaning, plumbing, minor electrical work, decorating and working with contractors. 

Knowledge of carrying out and recording  health and safety checks and working in role within premises is advantageous, but training can be given
