Job Introduction

We are looking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Cook to join our Resource Centre in Cannock for children and young people with learning disabilities.

This vacancy is for 17 hours and includes alternate weekend working.

Main Responsibility

You will work as part of an enthusiastic and caring team using your skills and understanding to produce quality home cooked meals for young people plus our lovely staff. The role requires experience and knowledge of menu planning, ordering, stock control and budgeting to provide home cooked meals. Knowledge of allergens is essential. 

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Working knowledge of basic food hygiene, menu planning, stock control and working within a budget. 
  • Knowledge of specialised diets would be useful and due to the setting of this role it will involve working shifts and weekends.
