To ensure we can deliver our ambitious highways transformation we are looking to grow our team of highway engineering professionals and develop talent for the future.

Main Responsibility

This technical role sits within a team of road safety professionals and as the responsibility of managing our injury collision dataset and fulfilling our statutory duties to analyse road safety data to inform our casualty reduction engineering functions.

You will also:

  • Use specialist mapping software to study and analyse Police reports of personal injury collisions.
  • Identify data patterns and trends to establish appropriate road safety interventions and monitor their delivery.
  • respond to queries and requests for collision data and statistics through the development and supply of data reports, technical drawings and statistical analysis.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • have the education or relevant experience to demonstrate excellent data interpretation and analytical skills.
  • have excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and trends in complex data.
  • be an exceptional team player and influencer, working alongside other highways professionals to coordinate and plan a successful operation.
  • be strategically minded with excellent organisational and planning skills that will be necessary to deliver an annual suite of analytical reports.
  • have confidence to work independently and under the direction of the Road Safety Manager to take ownership of the future development of this statutory and essential work area.
