Job Introduction
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work as a casual Outreach Worker at Resource Centres In Cannock and Burton on Trent, offering short breaks for young people with learning disabilities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience of working with children & young people within this sphere to gain specialist experience of working specifically with children with a wide variety of needs.
Main Responsibility
The Outreach Worker is part of a multidisciplinary team that will offer a range of services including support and care for children and young people with learning disabilities. Whilst ensuring that the young person’s social, emotional, cultural, religious and recreational needs are met
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll need to be flexible as this role does involve shift and weekend working. Ideally you’ll also have experience of working in a residential setting and you’ll have an NVQ or QCF level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or be prepared to undertake the training when you start with us. A full driving licence and be willing to drive the company vehicles is also preferred. Please specify in your application your preferred location.
