The relevant post holder should have extensive knowledge on the use of a Case Management System and the functionality required to develop this system to its full potential to assist all members of Legal Services. You will be responsible for managing the Case Management Team on a daily basis to deliver an excellent service to the lawyers and their teams in the County Council’s in-house legal team.

Staffordshire Legal Services is a support service within the Corporate Services Directorate.  It provides quality services, within resources, promoting Staffordshire County Council’s pursuit of excellence.

Main Responsibility

  • Manage the ongoing development of Legal Services’ case management systems and related processes and staff training to contribute to the delivery of the Council’s digital enabler objective.
  • To manage the design and production of monthly reports and other information requirements as needed by Legal Services’ Management Team to facilitate effective performance management of staff and financial budget management.
  • Authorise payment for departmental goods and services through the Council’s core financial system.
  • Play a key role in Legal Services’ marketing and selling services commercial activities.
  • Drive compliance with Legal Services’ Lexcel Law Society Practice Management Standard practices and procedures, and contribute to the process of securing re-accreditation as and when required.

 

The Ideal Candidate

We are also seeking a highly motivated and positive candidate with dynamism, infectious enthusiasm and sound organisational and managerial skills. You will be responsible for managing the Customer Support Centre on a daily basis to deliver an excellent service to the lawyers and their teams in the County Council’s in-house legal team and to County Council generally and also to the LSU’s external clients. This is a challenging and fast paced working environment in a modern forward thinking service.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and able to prioritise a varied workload.  Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail will also be important.
