Business Support Officer

Job Introduction

One post, primarily based within Health & Care Support Business and Executive Support Service (BEST) Interviews on Tuesday 30th May 2023.

Flexibility is required to support other areas within the wider Business and Executive Support Service when required, to meet priority demands. This will enable you to develop your skills and experience a variety of work opportunities across the service. There is an expectation that you will be both office and home working by local agreement and business needs.

Main Responsibility

Your role will involve working with electronic records in relation to Adult Safeguarding Data, Stored on Care Director and Content Manager (Trim) the County Council's case management computerised systems.

You will be required to access these systems to assist with a number of enquiries to support the senior management team. This could be responding to Freedom of Information requests, following guidance from senior management, any performance related reports. Completing any data cleanse projects on Care Director as and when required linking with any other Adult Social Care Teams as requested.

You will also provide administration support for Position of Trust element of Adult Safeguarding. This will involve setting up meetings, taking accurate minutes of the meetings and distributing to attendees accordingly. This task involves updating the dedicated electronic filing system. Use of Outlook central mailboxes is also part of the role, actioning and redirecting in line with the agreed business processes.

Working as part of the wider Business and Executive Support Team (BEST) there will be a wide range of opportunities for you to get involved with other projects that are allocated to the team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Administrative skills and experience to support the provision of a timely and high-quality Business Support service for Staffordshire County Council.
  • Ability and experience in taking accurate minutes for multi-agency meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage our customers and administration teams to share best practise using digital solutions where appropriate to improve processes.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment, and to manage changes at short notice.
  • Good IT skills with a knowledge of SCC systems for data management.
  • Experience complying with relevant Information, Privacy and Data Security policies.
