Business Support Officer

Job Introduction

Are you passionate about supporting Children and Families? 

Staffordshire Family Hubs are recruiting 3 Business Support Officers to join our existing dedicated and experienced team.

As a Business Support Officer you will support our Family Hubs by providing administrative support to either our:

  • Holiday Activities and Food Programme     or
  • The Best Start in Life Programme

You will be based in a Family Hub with hybrid working.

Main Responsibility

Some of your responsibilities will be to,

  • Manage team inboxes and respond to enquiries
  • Analyse data and produce reports
  • Assist with financial transactions and reporting
  • Attend network events to meet the needs of the programme
  • Organize and support meetings, including agenda management and note-taking.
  • Perform administrative tasks, ensuring deadlines and compliance are met.
  • Maintain accurate records 
  • Assist with financial processes, such as grants, and record-keeping,
  • Deliver customer service across multiple channels, including handling inquiries and signposting. Online and face to face.
  • Produce quality documents to support projects and staff.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to be,

  • proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Excel with the ability to produce data reports and have exceptional organisation skills.
  •  able to work  within clear timeframes as the services respond to time sensitive processes.
  •  friendly and be able to communicate effectively in writing and in person with colleagues, partners and families. A 'can do' and friendly attitude is a must.

You will also be required to use our internal IT system to manage processes and achieve outcomes. Training will be provided.

Shortlisting will take place week commencing 5th January 2026.

Interviews will take place week commencing 12th January 2026
