Business Support Officer

Job Introduction

The Business Executive Support Team is a central business support function which is aligned to meet the requirements of Staffordshire County Council and which fulfils the needs of the organisation as it evolves.  We are looking to recruit a full time Business Support Officer whom will be specifically supporting our Waste management and Sustainability Service.

Main Responsibility

  • Ability to perform effectively in a busy and demanding operational environment.
  • To process financial elements to the role in terms of raising of purchase orders, payment of invoices, grant payments and recording of all financial transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail in relation to data management and routine reporting.
  • Liaising with Suppliers, members of the Public and Stakeholders.
  • Answer and respond to day-to-day enquiries.
  • Provide general administrative support, including taking action notes of stakeholder meetings.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Numerate and able to work with data, Excel and the MS Office.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and excellent organisation skills.
  • Good communicator.
  • Able to work proactively individually and as part of a team.
  • Can-do attitude, flexible, positive, and collaborative.
