Business Support Officer (PA to Social Workers)

Job Introduction

A vacancy has arisen for the position of Business Support Officer (PA to Social Workers) within the Tamworth Team.

The role is for 30 hours over 4 days - days to be discussed.  This is predominately an office based role, however the service does allow home working to fit around the business need.

Main Responsibility

The main responsibilities are to support a team of social workers by;

  • Convening and attending meetings, including statutory multi agency meetings, coordinating the circulation of agendas and relevant papers, taking and distributing appropriate minutes and actions.
  • Completing a range of administrative tasks ensuring compliance with business processes and service level agreements.
  • Accurately inputting and maintaining information systems in support of Social Workers, ensuring children's/families/system records are kept up to date.
  • Undertaking a range of financial transactions as directed including cash handing, placing orders for services/equipment, including the use of Purchasing Cards.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills and good attention to detail.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills who has the ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and to manage changes at short notice, with a flexible approach.
