Business Support Assistant 

We are looking to appoint 2 x Business Support Assistants to support the Fostering teams in central Stafford. 

The roles are office based with the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week subject to business needs of the service following a training period. Flexibility is required at all times.

2 x 37 hour permanent posts

Salary: £26,427 per annum




 

Main Responsibility

This role will focus on providing a range of core administrative and financial functions to support practitioners and you will be a first point of contact for enquiries. You will use departmental databases and financial systems and the full range of Microsoft packages as part of your daily administrative work.

Duties will include:

Monitoring and maintaining ICT systems including the input and retrieval of data

Production of documents to a high standard of accuracy

Providing the Fostering Teams with business support in their processes around supporting Staffordshire’s Foster Carers.

Undertaking a range of administrative duties and customer care duties.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

Minimum Criteria

GCSE English or equivalent and an ICT qualification are essential for this position.

An NVQ in Business Administration, two years office experience and experience of using a computer-based information system are also desirable as well as experience of minute taking and experience of working within a team.

Good written and oral communication skills, an ability to undertake a number of areas of work, an ability to interpret, format and accurately present information, time management skills and experience of working to deadlines are also all desirable.
