Business Support Administrator

Job Introduction

The Business and Executive Support team are looking for an experienced full time administrator to provide support within their Statutory Education Team in Stafford. The team provide administrative support to the statutory functions provided by the county council including entertainment licences, employment licences, chaperone licences and school term time penalty notices. The demand for each of these individual areas fluctuates throughout the year so the ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and successfully coordinate a varied workload is key.

Main Responsibility

The post holder would provide support by maintaining records, processing applications within regulatory timescales and providing a frontline service for all queries for the service area. Other duties include filing, photocopying and postal duties, word processing, preparing and distributing paperwork in addition to liaising with customers, contractors and partners. 

The Ideal Candidate

· Good communication skills to engage our customers and Administration teams to share best practise using digital solutions where appropriate to improve processes.

· An ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and to manage changes at short notice, with a flexible approach.

· Strong IT skills with a knowledge of SCC systems or similar packages for data management.

· Good administrative organisational skills
