Job Introduction
We are looking to recruit an attendant driver at our Disability Resource Centre in Burton-upon-Trent. You will have direct responsibility for the young people. when on transport, in accordance with practice and procedures of the Local Authority. Acting as contact between young people, their families/schools and the Resource Centre. You will also work alongside care staff to ensure that you adhere to individual risk assessments of the young people. Your responsibilities will also include keeping records, daily checks, general maintenance and cleaning on the vehicles.
Main Responsibility
Your main responsibilities will be transporting young people between centre and school and on any activities within the community.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicles, completing the vehicles checks and liaising with County Fleet to complete servicing and MOTs.
The Ideal Candidate
As an Attendant Driver:
- You’ll need to be flexible as this role does involve shift working.
- Ideally you’ll also have experience of working with young people with disabilities and experience within a driving role.
- Ideally you should also have experience of vehicles checks and hold a clean driving licence.
