Job Introduction
Staffordshire Educational Psychology Service is seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Educational Psychologists (AEP), who are planning a future career as an Educational Psychologist, in order to support Staffordshire’s EAPDR pathway (Enhanced Assess, Plan, Do, Review - Staffordshire County Council). The EAPDR pathway is a preventative framework to raise the capacity of our schools and settings to meet the needs of their children and young people. The role of the AEP in this process will be to support the implementation of psychological interventions.
A comprehensive programme of induction, supervision and training will be provided offering excellent preparation for applying to professional postgraduate training courses.

The posts are located in our four district teams located in Burton, Stafford, Lichfield or Newcastle
Main Responsibility
The Assistant role involves working alongside a team of Educational Psychologists, delivering psychological interventions as part of a wider multi-agency team in a district area of Staffordshire

The Ideal Candidate
You will hold a first degree in psychology or postgraduate equivalent qualification and be eager to add to our diverse practice, working creatively in applying psychology to achieve great outcomes for our children and families in Staffordshire.
