Assistant Director of Finance - Business Partnering (Deputy section 151)

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

Staffordshire is an innovative, ambitious and sustainable county with a proud heritage and bright hopes for the future – well positioned at the heart of the thriving West Midlands to create jobs, growth and prosperity for local people. Much has been achieved in recent years – a better quality of life for local people, major programmes delivered to secure future growth and jobs, and substantial changes to how we operate, ensuring we can continue to deliver what local people need at a cost we can afford.

We are immensely proud of our record of managing the council’s finances, and whilst there are challenges ahead for the sector, we believe we have laid the foundations to ensure that we continue to deliver for our residents and businesses. Due to the recent promotion of the current postholder, we are seeking a new Assistant Director of Finance (Deputy S151).

Main Responsibility

We are seeking an ambitious and personable leader who is enthused by and has a proven track record of financial business partnering.

This role requires the right person to bring an inherent ability to engage people, not only across all levels of the organisation, but with external colleagues across the county and in a wider regional and national context.

Possessing a collaborative and creative mindset, you will share our aspirations for the people and businesses of Staffordshire, with a commitment to ensuring that they are realised.
