The Business Support Service Team are key to the success of our Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Services. They ensure the smooth running of service, so that frontline colleagues can deliver the services out in the community. 

All that work in the background doesn’t just happen, it takes dedicated colleagues, taking pride in their work and seeing a purpose in the work they are doing.

Main Responsibility

As an Apprentice in this team, you will: 

  • support in providing a range of administrative duties to staff including diary management, bookings, responding to queries, updating ICT systems, 

  • be a first point of contact for enquiries - regarding training needs and opportunities. 

  • use a range of ICT systems and the full range of Microsoft packages as part of your daily work 

The Ideal Candidate

What you'll bring: 

  • good organisational skills and IT skills 

  • communication skills because you’ll interact with lots of people across the organisation and externally through phone, MS Teams, in person and email. 

  • knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, however further training will be provided 

  • a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work - with the ability to prioritise work and sometimes change tasks quickly. 

  • a passion to always give the best service. 

As well as learning on the job we will develop a guided learning path for you working with our accredited training provider, Newcastle and Stafford College Group. We will support you to follow an approved apprenticeship standard to gain Business Admin Level 3.
