Apprentice Data Technician

Our Careers and Participation Service works with young people at risk of not participating in learning, or those who are not participating, to provide support to enable them to engage in employment, education or training.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious person to work as an apprentice within our Planning and Performance Team.

Main Responsibility

  • Supporting the Careers and Participation Service with the use of the NCCIS compliant database to ensure accurate recording.
  • Checking and processing a range of data from various sources and uploading onto various databases
  • Supporting in the production of reports

The Ideal Candidate

You'll need:

  • Maths and English GCSE's at grade 4-9/A-C, or equivalent
  • Good communication skills  
  • Experience and confidence of using a range of ICT software programs. 
  • A ‘can do’ and flexible approach as sometimes things can change, and so you’ll need to be able to prioritise work and manage your time.

As well as learning on the job we will develop a guided learning path for you, working with our accredited training provider, QA. We will support you to follow an approved apprenticeship standard in ICT at Level 3. This should take 15-18 months. 

You will receive continual support and be working in a team of high performing, dedicated and most importantly - friendly colleagues.

At the end of your apprenticeship, you will have developed great skills, that will help to take your career to the next level within an exciting and progressive Council.
