Adult Safeguarding Practitioner

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Adult Safeguarding Enquiry Team based within a multi-agency environment. 

We are a small but busy specialist safeguarding team based at Lindum House in Stone, completing enquires across the county.  We offer flexible working patterns, regular supervision, learning and development opportunities and an excellent employee benefit package.

 

 

Main Responsibility

You will:

  • respond to complex and high risk adult safeguarding concerns ensuring that the principles of the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal are followed
  • complete Section 42 (safeguarding) enquiries
  • undertake a range of activities, including the development of safeguarding plans. 
  • to develop personalised solutions for adults at risk of abuse, and their families

We have developed effective working relationships with multi-agency partners including Social Care, Health, Police and the Third Sector. Our work is key in complimenting case management activities and the functions of other agencies. 

The Ideal Candidate

You must be a registered social worker or have an equivalent professional qualification (such as Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapist) and registration with the relevant governing body together with:

  • A sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidance
  • a good working knowledge of adult social care
  • a passion and commitment to working with other agencies to achieve the best possible outcome relating to the abuse of adults at risk

​In return you will develop your skills and knowledge of adult social care/wider safeguarding practices in an exceptionally supportive team.
