Access to Personal Information Officer

Job Introduction

A full time permanent opportunity has arisen for a Access to Personal Information Officer within the Corporate Access to Information Team. The Team deal with requests for information under the Data Protection Act 2018, the Freedom of Information Act and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).  The Team also deal with requests from competent authorities to provide social care and education information.

Main Responsibility

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a flexible approach to join a busy front line service.  The role is primarily to deal with requests from competent authorities for example the Probation Service who will be asking for recorded information to inform their decision making and ensure child safeguarding.

The Ideal Candidate

You will need to have knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018/UK GDPR and a general knowledge of childcare legislation.

The role requires working through a significant number of confidential documents therefore attention to detail is essential.

Ability to manage a complex workload sometimes unpredictable with conflicting demands.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

It would be beneficial to have a working knowledge and understanding of Care Director, TRIM and Capita.
